One of the very first shots I took with my DSLR camera during college years. On September 11th, 2014, my classmates and I visited WTC to capture the stories that have been untold from the survivors & bereaved.
Among the immense crowd gathered in memory of the victims, I encountered a guy holding the American flag in silence with a photobook on his hand; filled with photos of the twin towers, where he would like to visit often, taken by himself throughout the years before the incident.
His memories of the twin towers lies within the pile of pictures, while this shot reminds me of all my memories of New York, journalism classes, and the younger, happier, more enthusiastic me in early 20s. It just brings back everything. This is probably why I love photography so much (;
