Popular or unpopular opinion? I don’t like high-end mascaras. Or at least, I’ve never found one yet that I think is worth repurchasing. I don’t find they give me the impact I want, and they aren’t quick to use. Like, they don’t deposit enough product, you have to work at it and layer it after waiting until it semi-dries. I’ve actually thrown out a few expensive mascaras after a few uses because I know it would frustrate me having to spend so much time using them on my lashes.
But I don’t get this with a lot of more affordable mascaras! In fact, my favourite mascaras of all time are all what we call ‘drugstore’ varieties, except for the @esteelauder Sumptuous Extreme. I would choose a drugstore mascara over a high-end one any day. One of my recent drugstore mascara loves has been the @bourjoisau ‘Big Lashes Oh, Oui’ mascara. It’s BLACK, gives me that high impact effect I want for my lashes. Big, bold, long, and dark. It’s quick to use and doesn’t require so much layering. Plus, the packaging is really gorgeous!
Are you a high-end or ‘drugstore’ mascara person?
