Hope everyone has had a great week and is ready for the weekend! This weeks story of recovery for #feelgoodfriday is from @mx_amie and about how her injury made her a better climber! Thanks for sharing and don’t forget to tag #womxnwhoclimb for your chance to be featured!
. . . . “I fell bouldering in a gym in November, and broke both sides of my right ankle. biking, hiking, and climbing had been my main ways to recharge. Losing them was brutal, even in the off-season. I realized that other than a handcycle, there wasn't much I could do. Except for roped climbing. So I put a knee pad on my right knee and dragged my bum leg up the wall.
I learned so much from being short a joint in my right leg, it completely changed how I climb, and gave me upper body strength i'd never had. I can't say I'd recommend an ankle injury, but it honestly improved my climbing.”
