CLEAN BULK vs DIRTY BULK ⠀ .⠀ Are you bulking correctly? .⠀ When it comes to bulking, the last thing you wanna do is follow the advice of all the gym bros. The bros think it’s best to eat everything in sight and that all the food is helping them to get stronger and build muscle. In reality it’s just leading to them putting on a lot of unwanted fat.⠀ .⠀ Here’s the thing, when it comes to putting on muscle mass, you want to keep it as lean as possible. What this means, is that you want to limit the amount of fat you gain in the process. The truth is, even when you are bulking, you want to keep eating mostly clean foods. That’s not to say you can’t enjoy yourself occasionally, but don’t overdo it. It can take as little as a 250 calorie surplus for you to start packing on some muscle. To put this into perspective, this is as little as 3oz of rice.⠀ .⠀ As well as this, I always see bros slamming down protein shake after protein shake each day. They end up having like 300g per day, which is in no way going to help them. Stick to no more than 1-1.3g of protein per lb of bodyweight.⠀ .⠀ Bottom line. Muscle building takes time.
