I’m honored that I was able to work with these talented actors! @casey_gardner @loserbandit through the @greenhousearts @shunleefong Creative Lab. . I wrote the short film and can’t wait to see it after the edits! They were amazing!🎭⭐️ . I learned by watching them workshop the scenes during the last three weeks with @abbiecobb of @theafastudio . Well done everyone!👌🏿🤩 . #actorsacting #actorswanted #actorsneeded #actorsinla

IT’S READY!!! INFINITA PRODUCTIONS new short written by @danilima_dl, directed by @ticodimauro and staring me @kyara_mensie is about to start its flight! . . Stepping on a solitary and no-turning-back journey, a woman goes in search for what matters most : her true self. Along the way, as choices are made, a sense of awareness takes her, revealing a life of possibilities beyond her wildest dreams, where confidence is sovereign. From that initial feeling of excitement and curiosity through unsettling moments of reflection to, finally, the realisation of who she really is, WINGS beautifully epitomises the spirit of a sensitive and feminine soul, straining to burst free, just waiting to fly. And as they fly, nothing will be the same again. >>>>> COMING SOON!! . . . #shortfilm #shortfilmfestivals #actress #workingactress2019 #workingactress #actressinthemaking #actressinlondon #curtametragem #infinitaproductions #atrizesbrasileiras #atriz #makingmovies 🎬 #makingmoviesthatmatter #fazendofilmes #luzcameraacao

For my new and previous followers, “Hi!” Thanks for following!!! . I’m a teacher turned filmmaker.🎞 That’s a long story for another day lol😂. You can read my book for more info. Link in bio. My goal now is to create films focused on K-12 education issues. . Why? To raise awareness . Why? It’s necessary. . I’m writing a feature length script for the first time. . My takeaways from my screenwriting session today in Week 8 with Prof. Tim [email protected] . 1) Scenes that I think are corny are not. It’s a movie so some scenes have to be “extreme” or not quite reality to make a point. Movies are visual so you have to increase the emotions and actions. Things may not happen in real life, but they will happen in a movie. I have to get used to that. . 2) One of my scenes is 6 pages long. I learned that I don’t have to do all that to get my point across. The audience will understand in 3 pages. Redundancy is not good in movies unless it’s specific to the character’s habit. Otherwise it bores the audience. . I understand now and will make those changes in my script. 13 pages down, 100 more to go!⭐️👌🏿🎞🙋🏿‍♀️

So many things that I’m learning from my screenwriting coach, Prof. Tim, that it’s hard to digest it all. @propath.screenwriting . I’m learning that tackling the outline is a fundamental step in the screenwriting process and takes time. . Then tackling the actual script is another step. . As an educator who wants to write about education issues, I have trouble separating the real world from fictitious characters. . Example 1: Prof. Tim pointed out that language or experiences that I used in the script that teachers would know or assume would not be common knowledge to a broad audience. . Example 2: I unconsciously avoided writing a low point at the end of the second act because in real life, I don’t want conflict. But in a movie, conflict is great. I keep forgetting that it’s a movie, not real life.🤣🤣Now I need to go back and add conflict. . Example 3: I am learning how to reveal characters through action. I need to have descriptive paragraphs and rewrite my first 5 pages. I began the script with the main character at work. But the audience has no context of who she is. What city? What is her life like outside of work? . Screenwriting is not as easy as I thought it would be but the message that I want to share through film outweighs the difficult learning curve. . #schooldismissed
