• Definitely hit the ground running this week! A decent sesh on my ‘non-smart’ mag trainer yesterday backed up today with a couple of nice run intervals at the track. I almost threw in an extra hill afterward but decided to play it sensible and for once stick to my program, especially because I’ve had a few easy weeks and have a race on Sunday!
It’s so funny, only 6 months ago I would struggle so much with run intervals; my goal was to just try and maintain a higher cadence. It was so hard! Now, I can actually maintain that higher cadence plus the added bonus of more speed, and even have a little more to give toward the end of a session instead of just trying to survive it😅! I guess that’s what consistency and a good program that doesn’t work you to the bone every day will do. These run improvements I’ve seen in training have yet to make an appearance on race day, but I’m living in hope! Maybe unicorns will help 🦄🎉!! •
