Fiji 🇫🇯 September 2019.
After a night over in Nadi we started early morning for our flight ✈️ to Taveuni island 🏝 . We boarded a small aircraft and were not only surprised by how smooth the flight was but also how beautiful the dotted reefs were below. Some of which we would explore over our next few days, such as the famous Rainbow 🌈 Reef.
After a small drive from Taveuni’s remote airstrip we were greeted by 2 men from Dolphin Bay Divers, our dive retreat who would take us across to our secluded location located on the adjacent island Vanua Levu which is Fiji’s second biggest island, largely covered in lush tropical 🌴 jungle.
We were staying in a bure’, which is a cottage style hut located within the jungle and only a few steps away from the beach 🏝. After 2 days of transit the logical first instinct was to find a couple of palm trees to string up my hammock and get a little R&R 😴.
