Who doesn’t love Malala Yousafzai?
She’s a Pakistani activist for female education, the youngest Nobel Prize laureate, a human rights advocate AND she’s quite funny too!
Her latest tweet is a great example of her wit as she takes a dig at the new iPhone 11 design. The same day as the new iPhone was launched, Malala posted a photo of a dress that had a design similar to that of the new camera feature that has awaken twitter trolls.
Though Apple is used to the criticism it receives with every new launch, the trolls seem to worsen year after year as the brand continues to raise the prices of their products.
While Apple harps on introducing new technology to the world, critics believe only minor additions are made to design without really offering something new.
This time round, the $999 iPhone pro had a few ‘useful’ additions – the most advertised feature being the triple-camera system. And that feature is the very one that has become the subject of every iPhone related joke.
The camera has been compared to a fidget spinner, salt bae’s cooking stove, and Salman Khan’s speakers, to mention a few. However, its Malala’s post that won our hearts. But do you know why?
It’s because we understand why the average human being would make fun of the few additions made to the phone – it’s because the launch of almost the same mobile every year at an even higher price is exasperating. However, it’s such a relief to see a globally recognized individual like Malala feel our pain. Thank you for keeping it real, Malala! And yes, seems like Apple copied the design right off your dress.
