It was PIZZA NIGHT tonight! We made Chris Kendall @therawadvantage Philly Cheese pizza and dipped it in our Onion Dill Ranch sauce and it was off the charts next level. Sex, pleasure and restriction ๐Ÿ†๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿญ When we restrict our food, force our bodies to be small and contained, and deny our bodies of simple joys of eating, we deny ourselves of being the pleasure that we are, being pleasured by others and the world around us, and experiencing pleasure in each moment ๐ŸŒน If you are struggling with sex and connecting intimately, consider looking at the relationship to your body and food โœจ How does all of this connect, you may ask? ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ When we restrict our food, it often indicates a restriction in feeling our emotions. We are numb, removed, a solid wall surrounding us ๐Ÿ™†โ€โ™€๏ธ We think we are safe when in fact we are distancing from our essence and from others ๐Ÿ™…โ€โ™€๏ธ Itโ€™s not easy to be vulnerable โŒ Itโ€™s not easy to share how we truly feel โŒ Itโ€™s not easy to be raw and real โŒ Itโ€™s not easy to show up โŒ When we donโ€™t show up for ourselves with the simple acknowledgement of nourishing our bodies with food, how can we show up in relationship? ๐Ÿฅ˜ By being more in-tune with food, we are stoking the fire of our intuition ๐Ÿ”ฅ As that intuition grows, we can decipher what we want and desire ๐Ÿ˜ We move closer to ourselves, emotions and bodies ๐Ÿค— We are more open ๐Ÿ’œ We are more open-hearted ๐Ÿ’Ÿ We can then start to allow other people in, accept their love, and in turn return the love to them ๐Ÿ’• Part of healing my eating disorder has been around becoming friends with my sexuality and removing shame and guilt and judgement! ๐Ÿ’ Not. Easy. Work. ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜… I invite you to all to investigate and research how you can bring more self-love, pleasure and presence into your life.
