#stretchsunday 🧘‍♀️🧘‍♀️. . Stretching is such an important part of my routine and should be a part of yours too! . Stretching doesn’t just mean trying to get flexible (although I love working on my flexibility), it’s such a key in injury prevention ‼️and goes a long way to reduce DOMs and acheyness after a workout. . I always like to do a full body stretch (these pics are just a couple of the stretches I do) after every workout, but if it’s not something you really enjoy and you just want to get it out of the way, I would always recommend stretching at MINIMUM the main muscles you targeted in that session. For example the stretches in this post are great for stretching out the hamstrings and hip flexors after leg day. You don’t have to be super flexible or go as deep, but getting yourself in these positions and holding it for a few breaths in and out can make the world of difference for your muscles. . Not to mention my 10 minute stretch is one of my favourite parts of my workout because I can relax and unwind mentally and physically. It’s my 10 minutes to not think about anything but stretching and relaxing.
