Does anyone else always feel like every moment that they’re currently living in is always reminiscent of something? So, really, you’re living in the past, constantly feeling nostalgic and not truly enjoying the moment you’re in. But it’s weird because a few weeks, months, or even years from now, it’s this exact same moment that you’ll be reminiscing without truly having lived it. Is it because you’re never truly happy or satisfied with your current position? I’m not really sure.
I read somewhere that we need to step back for a minute and realise that a few years ago, this is exactly where we wanted to be in life at this moment, yet, we’re still constantly thinking about the future, not enjoying the present.
Of course, you should always have some sort of idea or direction for where you want to go, but don’t forget that the moment you’re in right now, is as important, if not more. It shapes the future and heals the past, so instead of living in a perennial fantasy of either, enjoy where you are.
